Tezpur : NACCI officials visit Dekargaon Rly Stn to address the problems faced in goods transportation
Tezpur, May 03 : The North Assam Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited the Dekargaon Railway station and handed over a memorandum mail received against the traders’ request for the problems faced for the loading and unloading of goods at the railway station. The mail was also sent to DRM Rangiya, copy GM Ghy, CCM Ghy by NACCI’s chairman R.K BHATI.
The memorandum mail was submitted requesting for reduction in working hours at Dekargaon railway station keeping in mind the order issued by the government to close business by 6pm and the night curfew from 8pm to 5am which have resulted in unavailability of labourers and truck operators. Some traders carrying goods through the railway approached NACCI and discussed the problem with the round clock working hour system of the railway.
On their visit to the station they felicitated the Chief Goods Supervisor (C.G.S)
Mr. Romijul Islam Saikia CGS/DKGN in the presence of Station Superintendent (S.S)
Mr. Khirod Ch.Singha SS/DKGN, with a phulam gamusa and also discussed for developing other facilities at the station for smooth running of day to day business.
