Tezpur : Sanskrit Pandit, Social Activist & Educationist, Upendra Nath Sarmah passes away

Tezpur, May 13 : Renowned Sanskrit Pandit, Social Activist and Educationist, Shri Upendra Nath Sarmah passed away after suffering from prolonged illness. He was admitted at a private hospital in Guwahati and breathed his last at Tezpur around 8:30 am on May 13.

Late Sarmah was the Retired Former Head of the Dept of Sanskrit, Darrang College; Former Zonal President of Assam College Teachers’ Association and was serving as the Principal of Inspire Academy Senior Secondary School, Tezpur.
