Assam Civil Service Officer, Shri Bhupesh Chandra Das today took over the charge of the Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur district from the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Shri Manavendra Pratap Singh.
Earlier, Das was working as the District Development Commisioner of Cachar. High ranked and senior officials of the district administration gave a warm welcome to the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner.
It is notable that, soon after taking the responsibility of DC of Sonitpur, he visited various COVID care centers of the City and adjoining including Tezpur Medical College & Hospital.
Additional Commissioner Arundhati Narah Mipun and Joint Director of Health Services, Dr. J. Ahmed were present with him during the inspection.
