Tezpur, April 26 : In light of the second wave of COVID-19 Pandemic in the country and in the wake of rising number of infections in Sonitpur District too, Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal chaired a top level meeting in presence of Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner, Shri Manavendra Pratap Singh, Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das, District Administration, Police officials, Military, Paramilitary and health dept officials on Sunday at the Office of Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall.
CM Sonowal reviewed the Covid situation in Sonitpur District and its preparedness during the meet with top officials here in Tezpur. He also took stock of the production capacity of the oxygen plant at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital and directed officials to ensure necessary and timely treatment of the patients.
He further led importance on ongoing Vaccination process and urged the Frontline workers to encourage and promote COVID appropriate behaviour among the masses.
