In a recent, a girl from Dhekiajuli received objectionable messages from two unknown numbers through International Whatsapp and was threatened and blackmailed that they would viral her nude pictures. Acting on this cyber threat, the girl immediately lodged an FIR at the Dhekiajuli Police Station.
In this regards a case was registered vide Dhekiajuli PS Case No 467/2021, U/S – 67 of IT Act. After investigation, the accused person was detected through Cyber Cell and police apprehended the accused person namely Wahiduz Alom Zaman S/O – Md. Samsul Alom of Vill – Gotlung under Tezpur police station area and also seized some digital items/evidences. Later the arrested accused was forwarded to Honourable Court, Tezpur .
