International Taekwondo player from Tezpur, Rodali Barua tests Covid positive

Tezpur, April 23 : India battles the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak and recorded more than 3.32 Lakh fresh infections in last 24 hours, making world’s highest single day spike ever.

In the wake of rising number of cases in Sonitpur too, along with Assam, the District Administration Sonitpur, District Health Society, Sonitpur, NHM Sonitpur and the Frontline Covid Warrirors are leaving no stone unturned to combat these trying times.

In a recent development, International Taekwondo player from Tezpur, Miss. Rodali Barua tested positive for COVID-19. She returned to Tezpur on 18th April after competing in Asian Qualification held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

As per doctor’s advice, she has isolated herself and is in home quarantine for self treatment, adhering to Covid protocols. Her parents have informed that she is mentally stable and is gradually recovering.

We wish Miss. Barua speedy recovery.
