Tezpur, Dec 02 : Continuing the Government’s efforts to ensure 100% vaccination coverage in Sonitpur district, as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Dastak program, Minister for Panchayat & Rural Development, Food & Civil supplies & Consumer Affairs etc., Govt of Assam, Ranjeet Kumar Dass visited Tezpur Regional Sports Culture and Development Centre, Rangalipathar, Tezpur undr Polling Station No. 98. The Minister was accompanied by DDC, Sonitpur, CO, Tezpur, Jt.DHS, SDM & HO and other health officials.
“Har Ghar Dastak” program launched by Central Government in November, is a Door-To-Door campaign to ensure no person is left behind in the vaccination exercise. The program aims to inoculate those who are yet to take a dose of the Covid vaccine and those whose second shot is overdue.
Sonitpur District Administration too is leaving no stone unturned to inoculate the hesitant and resistant population of the district.
Guardian Secretary of Sonitpur District, Rajesh Prasad, IAS, is in his field visit to Tezpur to monitor the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ program closely. On Wednesday, he reviewed the day’s progress in terms of giving the first dose of Covid 19 vaccine to hesitant and resistant population in the district.
