03 December, Friday: An informative meeting was held at a hall in Tezpur’s Saffron restaurant on 2nd December where various aspects of increasing pollution and ways to reduce it were discussed.
Following, an open interactive session was also anticipated by the Regional Head of Pollution Control Board Sri Megnath Nath (Sr. Environment Engineer).
The meeting was organised by an Org. viz Laghu Udyog Bharati (Purvottar), Sonitpur branch which witnessed the participation of the members of Crushers Association as well.
Increasing pollution has been a severe threat to mankind and such discussion of these issues with the authorities are of utmost necessity. But such awareness should also be held in open public with more participations to distribute knowledge in the form of ‘simple tips to reduce pollution’.
Though the general public are often hesitant to lay importance on pollution related matters, frequent awareness programs can atleast shape a few, if not many to reduce emission of carbon.
