Tezpur, March 18 : In a latest, two students of Tezpur Science Academy (Class 11), Pragyan Pratim Sharma and Manali Roy won the state round of FIT INDIA QUIZ.
The Fit India Quiz is being conducted by Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and SAI as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate India’s 75 years of Independence.
Speaking to Tezpur Buzz, Pragyan Pratim Sharma said that the process of selection was long and rigorous. “At the very outset, there was a preliminary round conducted by NTA in October 2021. In that preliminary round, I came 2nd out of the 8 selected from Assam” Mr. Sharma added.
He also stated that there were two Semi finals conducted. The winners and runner-up of the two Semi finals were selected for the Grand Finale of Assam. The four grand finalist were from – KV Kumbhirgram, KV Goalpara, KV Tezpur University (IV) and Tezpur Science Academy. “The final scores after the finals were – 35, 30, 20 and 90. Thus we won by a margin of 55 points” said Pragyan.
The National Finals is scheduled to be held in New Delhi.
