On the event of 73rd Republic day, NCC launched a nationwide programme “Shaheedon ko shat shat Naman” to honour our fallen heroes who gave their supreme sacrifices in various wars to defend India.
The programme is said to continue till August 15, As a part of this event, Cadets and staff of 8 Assam Bn NCC under Gp HQ Tezpur presented a memento to the relative/family member of martyr Rfn Gulab Chandra Kachari of 5Assam Rifles who laid down his life defending our motherland on 23rd Oct 1962.
