Tezpur, June 12 : A dead body of around 31 year-old boy has been found at city’s Hazarika Chuk (Cotton Road) in a pond on 12th June ’21. The deceased has been identified as Dipu Das and was the son of former Ward Commisioners of Ward No. 2, Lt. Sarat Das and Sonali Das.
As per sources, Dipu has left home after an alleged quarrel with his family members around 11.30 pm of 11th June and since then his traceability was unidentifiable, despite constant efforts of his near ones to locate him.
Locals of that area identified the body at around 03:30 pm and the police was being notified about the same. Investigation is on process and the actual reason of the death is yet unknown. However, locals predicted the suspected reason to be suicide, owing to last night’s incident of alleged quarrel and other similar past incidents. Sources also reported that situations of drinking and quarrelling often took place with him in family.
