Tezpur, June 21 : Along with the rest of the World, Sonitpur Police too celebrated the 7th International Day of Yoga at Police Reserve here in Tezpur pertaining to all Social distancing norms.
S.P. Sonitpur, District Sports officer, Prominent Yoga Instructor Namita Lahkar and her students, police officers and personnel of the district participated in the event. Shivani Saikia, graced the event with her brilliant display of artistic yoga.
The theme of the International Yoga Day event this year is ‘Yoga for wellness’, a motto aligned to the current pre-occupations.
The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014.
