A meeting to discuss the district level observation of the upcoming 75th Independence Day was held at the new Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bhupesh Chandra Das.
It was decided to organise the event by following all Covid19 protocol in view of the prevailing situation.
The event will be marked by offering tributes to the Father of the Nation at his statue in DC office premises and other freedom fighters followed by unfurling of the Tricolour and playing of National Anthem by the VIP guest on the occasion.
Several sub-committees were formed under the chairmanship of ADCs and senior officers to look into various aspects of obsservance of the 75th Independence Day programme.
It was also decided to organise several online competitions among the schoolchildren in view of the Covid 19 situation.
CEO Zilla Parishad Diganta Baishya, DDC Subhan Gowala, SP Dr. Dhananjay Ghanawat, all ADCs, circle officers and heads of various departments along with representatives of 12 APBn, NCC, SSB, AISF and others were present in today’s meeting.
