Tezpur, June 2 : The horrifying incident of Brutal Attack on Dr. Seuj Kumar Senapati on Tuesday at Hojai’s Udali Model Hospital triggered widespread protest by several organisations of Doctors Fraternity.
Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur, Bhupesh Chandra Das today met with protesting medical students at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital and assured them that Government of Assam will ensure that the guilty will be brought to justice within the shortest time possible.
He also received three numbers of memorandums addressed to the Chief Minister submitted by Tezpur Medical College Teachers’ Association, Junior Doctors Association, Tezpur Medical College and Hospital and Tezpur Medical College and Hospital Employees’ Association.
It may be noted that Assam Police with support of Hojai Police brought the perpetrators to justice in no time. A total of 24 culprits have been arrested in this case.
Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “24 culprits involved in this barbaric attack have been arrested and the chargesheet will be filed at the earliest. I am personally monitoring this investigation and I promise that justice will be served”.
