A sanitization drive was carried out in various areas of Tezpur town by Tezpur Municipal Board along with Fire & Emergency Services today.
All shops and establishments in the district have been directed to ensure strict COVID 19 protocol, such as wearing of masks, six feet social distancing, hand washing/ sanitization facilities in their respective buildings. Various task forces have been formed to ensure strict compliance of the same, failing which such establishments will be sealed by the administration for one week.
Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh has directed all Circle Officers to lead the COVID control measures in their respective areaa of jurisdiction by forming block-wise taskforce in all GPs and involve ASHA, Anganwadi workers in carrying out active fever surveillance, IEC, implementation of isolation, containment zones, among others.
