Tezpur, May 6 : On Wednesday evening, heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds of around 30 kmph and thunderstorm lashed parts of Tezpur. Light to moderate showers continued in the wee hours of Thursday also.
Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati has issued 24 hours realized rainfall data over North Eastern part of the country. While Mokokchung in Nagaland received highest rainfall recording 53.1 mm, Tezpur received 34.3 mm rainfall, its highest in the year 2021.
