Tezpur, July 10 : Along with the rest of the country, the National Lok Adalat was held here in Tezpur on 10th July, in accordance with the All India Lok Adalats’ and under the Sonitpur District Judicial Authority in the compound of Sonitpur District Courtourt.
In wake of the pandemic, the Lok Adalat was organized through both virtual and hybrid mode after the observance of the covid protocols set by Assam Govt and Sonitpur District Administration.
The Lok Adalat was attended by the District and Session Judge of Court, Sonitpur; respected lawyers, officials of District Legal Services Authority, Sonitpur and other noted advocates. Lok Adalat is mainly conducted in order to settle various cases related to road accidents, bank loans, compoundable case etc.
