Tezpur : Minister, Pijush Hazarika visits erosion hit areas caused by Brahmaputra; takes stock

Hon’ble Minister for Water Resources, I&PR, etc., Pijush Hazarika today took stock of the erosion caused by the river Brahmaputra on the north bank from Jahajghat in Tezpur to Bhorasingari near Goruduba under Thelamara Circle travelling the entire stretch in a motorable boat.

During his inspection trip he was accompanied by Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Tezpur HPC, Pallab Lochan Das, Hon’ble MLA Borsola Ganesh Limboo, Deputy Commissioner Bhupesh Chandra Das, Superintending Engineer, Nagaon WR Division, J Dey, Executive Engineer, Tezpur WR Division, Khanindra Barman, SDO, Bhagaban Pator, senior district administration officials and others.
