Tezpur, November 11, 2025 (Tuesday): Dr. Venkata Pradeep Babu Koyyala, Medical Oncologist and Lead of Medical Oncology at Shankara Cancer and Research Institute, Tezpur, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Indian Society of Medical and Paediatric Oncology (ISMPO) for the term 2025–2029.
The Indian Society of Medical and Paediatric Oncology (ISMPO) is India’s premier professional body dedicated to advancing cancer research, education, and patient care. Election to its Executive Committee is regarded as a mark of national recognition for leadership, academic excellence, and service to the oncology community.
Dr. Koyyala’s election represents not only a personal achievement but also a proud moment for the entire Northeast region. Over the years, he has been at the forefront of efforts to improve access to quality cancer care, build regional oncology networks, and promote awareness and compassion for patients in underserved areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Koyyala expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by his peers, stating, “This honour is a reminder that meaningful change in cancer care begins with collective effort.
