Tezpur, August 22 : On Sunday, two youth named Saleh Ahmed and Farhaj Siddique came to Gudamghat Miri village under Chariduar PS for business purpose with a white colour DUSTER. At around 10:30 PM they opened fire in the house of one Hajarat Ali of Gudamghat Miri.
As per sources, one accused Saleh Ahmed abruptly fired at one local resident Suraj Ali who was in a conversation with Farhaj Siddique near the house of Hajarat Ali. In defense, injured Suraj attacked Saleh with sharp weapons.
On hearing the gunshots, public from the nearby areas gathered, caught them and handed over the Police.
Both received injuries and were immediately shifted to Tezpur Medical College & Hospital for better treatment. One 0.22 Revolver, 4 no’s live ammunition, 2 no’s of empty case, 2 no’s of fired Bullet, one knife found at the spot seized as exhibit.
The accused are identified as Saleh Ahmed (32) S/O Asafudiin Vill- Saidpur PS- Silchar and Farhaj Siddique (20) S/O Emran Siddique Vill- Saidpur PS- Silchar. In this regard a case has been registered in Chariduar PS and investigation is going on.
