Tezpur, July 13 : Sonitpur Police on Tuesday announced its successful completion of innovative and unique model ‘Covid sentinel project’ executed for remote care of Covid patients in home isolation in Sonitpur.
Sonitpur Police reached out to thousands of patients through school teachers who telephonically called the Covid patients on daily basis and provided care.
The project was conceived by SP Sonitpur, Dr Dhananjay P Ghanwat, IPS and Dr Gayatri Gogoi of Assam Medical College & Hospital, Dibrugarh. The project was backed by District Administration, Sonitpur and Pratishruti Cancer & Palliative Trust. In Sonitpur, the same was started on 30th May and continued for 2.5 months.
