Sisters Amaya and Harshita Agarwal Set Hula Hooping Records

Amaya Agarwal, a talented first-grader at Assam Valley Sunnyside School in Tezpur, Assam, has made a remarkable achievement. Born on September 11, 2017, and the daughter of Meena Agarwal and Sumit Agarwal, Amaya set a new record on July 8, 2024, by completing 360 spins while hula hooping in 2 minutes and 45 seconds, all while kneeling on a tabletop. This impressive feat was accomplished under the guidance of Nidhi Tibrewala and has earned Amaya a place in the Assam Book of Records (ABR) under the state records category.

Not to be outdone, Amaya’s elder sister, Harshita Agarwal, also made her mark on the same day. Born on November 3, 2015, Harshita is a third-grade student at Assam Valley Sunnyside School. She achieved a record by completing 215 rotations while hula hooping on her waist in 2 minutes and 10 seconds, standing on a tabletop. Guided by the same mentor, Nidhi Tibrewala, Harshita’s extraordinary performance was also recognized by the ABR, placing her name in its state record category.
