Like past 22 years, Tezpur AASU conducts ‘Bihu Workshop 2021’ in a grand manner

Tezpur, April 4 : With an aim to preserve the roots of Rich Assamese Culture, and like previous years, Tezpur Regional Student’s Union (Tezpur AASU) is organizing ‘Bihu Workshop’ in grand manner at Tezpur’s historic Swahid Bakori, Mazgaon.

The workshop started from 18th of March 2021 and will continue till 14th of April 2021. On 15th April, Tezpur AASU will be observing a Colourful Cultural Evening consisting of Mukoli Bihu, Jeng Bihu, Bhor Tal Nrityo and many other ethnic cultural activities. The participants of this Bihu workshop will be performing in the very beginning of the said event.

The resource persons of this workshop are ~ Lakhi Saikia, Pranab Mahanta, Basanta Hazarika, Madhurjya Borah, Jiten Saikia, Abhinash Saikia, Bubu Mech and Suman Das.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the Workshop stood cancelled last year. With the same enthusiasm, more than 250 participants joined the workshop this year.

General Secretary of Tezpur Regional Student’s Union (Tezpur AASU), Debanjan Pathak while speaking to Tezpur Buzz said that, “It is believed that, Tezpur Regional AASU has been organizing this Bihu Workshop for the last 22 years and that Tezpur AASU’s Bihu Workshop is the first in entire Assam, to have conducted, with the motive of preserving the roots of Rich Assamese Culture.
