Tezpur, August 20, 2025 (Wednesday): The Department of Political Science of Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Girls’ College (L.G.B. Girls’ College), Tezpur, in association with Gyanam Coaching Centre, Tezpur, organized a special lecture on the theme “Cultivating Spirit and Skills of Entrepreneurship Among Youth.” The program was held in the college Conference Hall.
The event was graced by Mrs. Jecin Kumbang Pao, a well-known entrepreneur and proprietor of Kangkan Dhemaji, who was also the recipient of the Assam Gaurav Award from the Government of Assam. She attended the programme as the Chief Guest and shared her inspiring journey as an entrepreneur, encouraging students to pursue innovation and self-reliance.
Along with the lecture, the college also organized a certificate distribution ceremony for students who successfully completed skill-based courses in Make-Up and Mehendi. These courses were conducted under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), to provide practical training for self-employment and career opportunities.
The programme highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship among youth and motivated students to take up skill-based opportunities for a better future.
