Tezpur, October 3 : An Earthquake of magnitude measuring 3.8 on Richter scale hit near Tezpur at around 2:40 PM on Sunday.
As per National Center for Seismology, the Earthquake occurred on 03-10-2021, 14:40:14 IST, Lat: 26.68 & Long: 92.44, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 35km W of Tezpur.
It may be mentioned that this is the third earthquake since Wednesday. On 29th Sep, the Earthquake was of Magnitude 3.5 and hit 62 km WNW of Tezpur. The other was in the wee hours of 28th Sep and was of 3.2 M which struck 40 KM WSW of Tezpur.
