Assam Civil Defence Prepares Squad for Riot Control and Law & Order in Sonitpur

Assam Civil Defence has geared up to enhance its capabilities in riot control and maintaining law and order, working together with Assam Police. Two sections of Assam Civil Defence have been trained in DEF Sonitpur, Police Reserve, in Riot Controlling Drill. This training is expected to significantly improve the law and order situation in the district when required by the Police and District Administration.

The training, conducted by SI Milon Mech, an instructor from Assam Police, equipped the Civil Defence team with essential skills. The team, brought under the leadership of Hav Jayanta Goswami, an instructor from Assam Civil Defence, and led by Snr CDV Suhail Ahmed, underwent rigorous preparation.

The drill aims to control riot-like situations that may arise in the district and includes the operation of gas arms and tear grenades. The initiative reflects a proactive approach to ensuring peace and stability in the region through well-coordinated efforts between the Civil Defence and the Police.
