About the Orphanage
Naba Prabhat Children Home (নৱ প্ৰভাত শিশুগৃহ) was founded on February 3, 2006 by Mrs. Trishna Mani Laskar and Late Bidyut Saikia. It has provided shelter, food, education, and healthcare to orphan girls for nearly two decades. Presently, around 20 girls aged between 6 and 19 years live in this home, all sharing a single dormitory space.

Along with regular schooling in government schools, the children receive training in classical dance, singing, fine arts, modern music, yoga, and vocational skills. Younger children are taught nursery rhymes and the alphabet. The institution also ensures that the girls grow up in a supportive cultural and educational environment, with the help of the local public of Tezpur and Assam.
The upcoming Multi-Functional Hall is expected to provide the children with more space for learning, cultural activities, and community development programs.
