Kolkata/Tezpur, May 04 : Param Pujyapad Srila Bhakti Bhushan Bhagbat Goswami Maharaj, President Acharya of All India Sree Chaitnya Gaudiya Math, returns to the lotus feet of his Spiritual master on the holy month of Baisakh (Kesav Brata) at Sree Chaitnya Gaudiya Math, Kolkata after battling prolonged illness and Covid 19 complications.
Pujyapad Maharaj Ji tested Covid Positive on April 9. He was showing mild symptoms but later was admitted to AMRI Hospital, Kolkata as he complained of breathing difficulties.
After some days he tested negative for COVID-19 and was under expert medical care and supervision. He was facing secondary infections due to the Covid 19 repercussions. Along with this he had several co morbidities.
On May 1, doctors had said that he had stopped responding to treatment and the condition of his lungs were deteriorating. He was under ventilation support.
On May 2, he breathed his last in front of Sree Radha Nayananath Jiu at Sree Chaitnya Gaudiya Math, Kolkata.
Pujyapad Srila Bhagbat Maharaj, has served Tezpur Gaudiya Math for more than 63 years.
