Women Empowerment and Literacy – Various Seminar’s Organized by Rotary Club of Tezpur

Rotary Club of Tezpur Organized Various Seminar’s at 1. Potential-Concept Educations, 2. Inspire Academy, 3. Meeting at KRC Palace, and 4. Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 at Solmara, with Mr. Biju BP, who is a voluntarily retired banker, an IIM Kozhikode alumnus, and also holds a post-graduation in Sociology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication. He is currently on a mission of “Girl Empowerment through Education” and Rotary India Literacy Mission’s (RILM) “Each One Teach One.” His mission is to ride through 28 states and 6 union territories of India in a span of 800 days on his Bullet motorcycle solo. This trip is not only to quench his thirst for adventure and exploration but also to encourage everyone to push their boundaries and to show that it’s all possible. This is a journey across the nervous system of our country that is bound to be a challenge but one he happily welcomes. He hopes to engage with different communities and understand the diverse culture spanning the country while educating people and impacting society. The social cause he has chosen to promote through this trip is ‘Girl Empowerment Through Education’ (GETE) – providing girls with resources and knowledge to make their mark in this world and encourage them to fly high.

This travel is supported by Rotary, and he is a Rotarian of Trivandrum South. With the support of Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM), he will also speak to children about DIKSHA and the Each One Teach One program of adult literacy. This will lead to thousands of adults becoming literate in our march towards making India totally literate. Rotary Club of Tezpur’s President Rtn. Vaibhav Agarwal, Assistant Governor Rtn. Mukul Bothra, Secretary Rtn. Siddharth Sethia, and PP Rtn. Debasish Nath welcomed him to Tezpur on 9th July 2024 upon his arrival in Tezpur. During his 4-day stay at Tezpur, RC Tezpur organized various seminars at various places and helped share the message of girl empowerment and literacy.
