Tezpur, July 10 : Thirty prisoners have tested positive for Covid-19 in Tezpur Central Jail. This sudden outbreak has created a situation of hassle among the other inmates. There are currently 399 inmates in the Central Jail of Tezpur. The patients are being kept in isolation with urgent medical help and assistance.
The Covid pandemic situation in Sonitpur district is not improving much as the virus has started affecting the rural areas too. The deteriorating Covid-19 situation has forced the authorities in Sonitpur to impose a complete lockdown in the district.
