Born and brought up in Tezpur, 21-year-old Joy Saha completed a massive solo ride from Tezpur to Guwahati and back to Tezpur recently in his bicycle.
It took around 8.30 hours to complete 180 kms (distance from Tezpur to GHY). He stayed at GHY for four days and returned back. When asked about the purpose of such exercise, he mentioned that his motto was to spread awareness among citizens to keep themselves vaccinated, and also to save the nature, especially when the world is seeing a dawn after the pandemic night.
He added, “I took up cycling to share positivity among citizens to motivate them to use cycle whenever possible, and avoid the use of motor vehicles in lay times”.We appreciate his approach and message of such positivity and wish him success for all his future endeavours.
