In a heartbreaking video that has gone viral on social media, a boy named Rajveer Sarkar, reportedly from Tripura is seen to be abusing a stray dog without any reason.
An FIR has been lodged in connection to this case by K9 Animal Welfare Society at New Capital Complex Police Station, Agartala.
The complaint letter from Dipankar Chakraborty, Secretary of K9 Animal Welfare Society reads, “On 19th May, 2022 we received information via social media and WhatsApp, about an abuser named Rajveer Sarkar who abused a harmless dog. In a video posted on Facebook and WhatsApp, you can see the abuser pulling and swinging a dog by it’s tail and later throwing it in a nearby pond, causing immense pain to the dog.”
“We are sharing the details of the source below and attaching screenshot of the crime, in addition to our earlier report with subject -Dog abuse without any reason, at your station for action. In the course of gathering information. we got to know that the location of the abuser maybe at Oashgram under Shidhai Mohan_pur Subdivision, as informed by people who reported as the incident.”
