Acting on a reliable source information on illegal gambling at Borghuli, a team of Sonitpur police led by SI Simanta Pathak IC Borghat OP caught three accused persons namely –
1. Md. Akramul Islam(23), S/O Rahmat Ali, Vill- Borghat
2. Elias Ali(34), S/O Ajit Ali, Vill- Borghuri
3. Abul Kalam(26), S/O Rahmat Ali, Vill- Dikraijan, all are under PS- Tezpur, Dist- Sonitpur and caught red handed.
Police also recovered Playing cards and cash money of Rs.17800/-.
A case has been registered at Tezpur PS in this connection and further investigation is on.
