Tezpur, April 4 : Popular Drama “Kinu Kaharer Thetar” was staged at City’s Bengali Theatre Hall on Sunday evening organized by Drama Plus Tezpur.
The drama was held in the loving memory of Late Jiten Mukherjee and Late Mala Ganguli.
“Kinu Kaharer Thetar,” a satire, written by Manoj Mitra and directed by Jayanta Mukherjee, portrays a rural dramatic troupe back in the British rule in India. The satirical play depicts a timeline of the colonial period of India where a minister of a fictional state named Putna abuses a woman. The play revolves around several humorous incidents that ultimately unveil a crucial truth.
Excellent play. Just loved it.
