MLA Tezpur, Prithiraj Rava inaugurated a house constructed under Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana – Urban and handed it over to the beneficiary, Jewti Swargiary, of Ward No-3 of Kacharigaon, Tezpur on Monday under Tezpur Municipal Board in the presence of Chairperson, Tezpur Development Authority, Biraj Nath, Addl DC and i/c EO, TMB, Romy Baruah, Deputy Director, T&CP, Jatjiban Bora and others.
The house has been constructed against an amount of Rs. 3 lakh, out of which Rs. 2 lakh was released to the beneficiary under PMAY-U and the remaining Rs 1 lakh was borne by the beneficiary.
The program is part of a Griha Pravesh Samaroh and Adharshila Shtapon Samaroh underway from July 21 to August 15. It may be noted that as part of the Government’s 100 days programme, till July 31, 2021, a total of 14105 beneficiaries under this scheme have been released a total amount of Rs. 102.92 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
