Tezpur, 8 April: A devastating fire broke out at around 6:30 AM today at a residence in Baroholia, Tezpur. Tragically, the blaze claimed the life of lawyer Bikash Sharma while he was asleep. His sister, however, managed to narrowly escape.
Locals who witnessed the fire promptly alerted the fire brigade. However, their rescue efforts were hindered as the house was locked from the inside. By the time emergency services managed to gain entry, the residence had been completely destroyed.
Authorities have launched an investigation into this incident, though the cause of the fire remains undetermined. The local community has expressed shock and grief over Sharma’s sudden passing.
