Tezpur, May 23: Under the auspices of the All-Assam Students’ Union (AASU), the Sonitpur District Students’ Union (AASU Sonitpur) and the Tezpur Regional Students’ Union (Tezpur AASU) have jointly announced the observance of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha Divas in Tezpur. This four-day-long program will be held from 17th June to 20th June and aims to commemorate the life and contributions of the legendary cultural icon Bishnu Prasad Rabha.
The primary objectives of the 4 day long programme to mark Bishnu Prasad Rabha Divas include ~ tribute paying program to celebrate his immense contributions to Assamese culture, to create awareness among the younger generation about Bishnu Prasad Rabha’s life and achievements.
The observance will commence with an inauguration ceremony on 17th June, where prominent personalities, scholars, and artists will be present. The ceremony will include lighting of the ceremonial lamp, speeches, and cultural performances. In addition, the organizers have also planned the inclusion of All Assam Jyoti Sangeet, Bishnu Sangeet, Jyoti Sangeet and Bishnu Sangit-T Dance, Quiz competition, Debate competition, All Assam Diha Nam competition, and Art competition and the dates will be mentioned soon of the respective events.
These additional events will contribute to the richness and diversity of the program, offering participants and attendees a holistic cultural experience.
