Tezpur, July 9 : In an unfortunate incident, a girl in her mid 20’s was allegedly crushed to death by a Truck when she was travelling for EID shopping in Dhekiajuli.
Ahead of the Eid-ul-Adha 2022 celebrations, the deceased identified as Jerifa Wahid was on motorcycle with her father and happened to travel for EID shopping. As per eye witnesses, a speeding truck hit the motorcycle from backside.
It may be mentioned that the deceased was also wearing a Helmet but unfortunately died on spot.
Further investigations are on to nab the Truck Driver.
