Tezpur, April 21 : In the wake Covid-19 outbreak in the entire country, Assam is also now witnessing considerable rise in the Covid cases in alarming rate.
88 Fresh infections were registered on Thursday taking the tally of active cases to 403 in Sonitpur district along with one death reported on the same day.
The total number of Covid Cases in the district stands at 8756 while 8327 of them already discharged. A total of 9 patients were discharged on Thursday.
“1931 new cases were registered on Thursday in Assam out of 73,428 tests done. The positivity rate for 21st April stands at 2.63%” informed Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
