Tezpur, April 19 : In the 1st Phase of Lok Sabha Polls 2024 held on April 19th, Sonitpur Lok Sabha Constituency witnessed a commendable 78.47% voter turnout. The polling process was smoothly conducted, thanks to the dedication and hard work of the polling personnel and security officials engaged in election duty across the region.
After a day-long endeavor, the polling officials diligently returned the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to the strong room at Darrang College premises. District Commissioner cum District Election Officer (DEO) of Sonitpur and Returning Officer (RO) of 11-Sonitpur HPC, Shri Deba Kumar Mishra, personally interacted with the officials and reviewed the necessary arrangements at Darrang College.
The seamless coordination and meticulous planning ensured the efficient execution of the electoral process, ensuring the democratic rights of the citizens were upheld.
