Rotary Club of Tezpur Celebrates 53rd Installation Ceremony
On July 21, 2024, the Rotary Club of Tezpur, under Rotary International District 3240, held its 53rd Installation Ceremony at Hotel Cygnet Imperial Inn, Tezpur. The event was graced by distinguished guests and marked the transition of leadership for the upcoming Rotary year. The ceremony featured PDG Rtn. Rajiv Sharma, RID 3250, E/MGA ZONE 6, as the Chief Guest, while PDG Rtn. Dr. Debashish Das, RID 3240, RRFC, served as the Guest of Honor. AG Rtn. Mukul Bothra attended as the Special Guest.
During the event, outgoing President Rtn. Bharat Tibrewal and Secretary Rtn. Vishal Pugaliya presented their accomplishments for the 2023-24 Rotary year. Rtn. Ritesh Misruf Jain was honored with the Best Rotarian of the Year 2023-24 award for his outstanding contributions. The incoming leadership team for the new Rotary year was introduced, with Rtn. Vaibhav Agarwal taking on the role of President and Rtn. Siddharth Sethia as Secretary. They will be supported by a dynamic team of Rotarians, including Treasurer Rtn. J.P Mishra and several other dedicated members.
In his address, Chief Guest PDG Rtn. Rajiv Sharma emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities in life and the power of teamwork. He also stressed the significance of creating new traditions to achieve greater heights. Guest of Honor PDG Dr. Debashish Das spoke about the importance of giving and its alignment with Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.” The ceremony also saw the induction of four new members into the Rotary family of Tezpur, further strengthening the club’s presence in the community.
Rotary Club of Tezpur has a strong history of community service, organizing various initiatives such as free mammography screening camps, cataract eye camps, COVID-19 vaccination drives, and veterinary camps. President Rtn. Vaibhav Agarwal’s vision promises to continue this legacy of service in the coming year. The event was attended by senior Rotary members, representatives from various social organizations, and members from neighboring Rotary clubs. It served as a testament to the club’s commitment to its motto of “Service Above Self” and its ongoing efforts to make a positive impact in the Tezpur community.
