What is CME (Continuing Medical Education)?
Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes help doctors stay updated with the latest medical knowledge and skills throughout their careers. These training sessions ensure that healthcare professionals can provide the best possible care to their patients.

Focus on Pregnancy Emergencies
This particular programme concentrated on “Obstetric Emergencies” – serious medical situations that can occur during pregnancy, labor, or after delivery. The training used simulation-based learning, which means doctors practiced on medical models and equipment that mimic real-life emergency situations.
The main goal was to help doctors become better prepared to save the lives of mothers and babies during critical moments. Quick action and teamwork between different medical specialists are crucial in preventing maternal deaths.

Hands-On Learning Experience
The programme was highly interactive, meaning participants didn’t just listen to lectures but actively participated in discussions and practical exercises. The simulation training allowed doctors to practice their skills in a safe environment before applying them in real emergency situations.
Over 100 medical professionals participated enthusiastically, creating opportunities for doctors to learn from each other and build professional networks.

Successful Conclusion
The event ended with Dr. Jyotishmoy Bora, the Honorary Secretary of ISA Tezpur Branch, thanking everyone who made the programme successful. Participants appreciated the comprehensive content, practical training sessions, and the chance to meet and learn from colleagues.
