CM launches Assam Micro Finance Incentive & Relief Scheme, 2021 at Tezpur

Tezpur, Nov 28 : In a major move towards empowerment of women, Assam Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma launched Assam Micro Finance Incentive & Relief Scheme, 2021, here at Collegiate HS School Field, Tezpur on Sunday.

Each of the total 24 lakh beneficiaries, including 59,468 in Sonitpur district, will get Rs 16,000 – Rs 25,000.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the Govt is committed to providing one lakh employment by 10 May 2022 and extending Orunodoi benefit to 5,000 additional needy families in each assembly constituency besides increasing the benefit amount periodically.

State Ministers Smt. Ajanta Neog, Shri Pijush Hazarika, Shri Ashok Singhal, Hon MP Shri Pallab Lochan Das, Hon MLAs Shri Prithiraj Rava, Shri Padma Hazarika, Shri Krishna Kamal Tanti, Shri Ganesh Kr Limbu, Principal Secretary Shri Samir Sinha, Com Secy Shri Jayant Narlikar, Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur, Shri Bhupesh Ch. Das, top district administration officials and other guests were present in today’s programme.

Prior to this, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 30-bed Pediatric ICU comprising 15 ICU beds & 15 step down beds, a 30-bed COVID ICU & six G+2 Residential Faculty Quarter buildings comprising 4 quarters each at Tezpur Medical College & Hospital, Bihaguri, Sonitpur.

The costs of the projects are Pediatric ICU – 4.45, COVID ICU – Rs 1.49 cr under SOPD-G for 2021-22. Quarters – Rs 19.71 cr under TNEIF 2017-18
