Clean, Green, Future-Ready: Defence Infrastructure in Spotlight at Tezpur Gajraj Corps Works & Land Conclave 4.0

Tezpur, January 24, 2026 (Friday): Senior defence officials gathered in Tezpur on Friday (January 24, 2026) for a major conclave aimed at transforming India’s military infrastructure into environmentally sustainable and technologically advanced facilities.
The Gajraj Corps Works & Land Conclave 4.0, held in Tezpur, brought together representatives from user units, the Military Engineering Services (MES), and the Defence Estates Organisation (DEO) to address critical infrastructure challenges facing the armed forces.

Key discussions centred on land regularisation in border states, a move aimed at strengthening logistics networks and improving operational readiness in strategically sensitive regions. The conclave also examined proposals for enhanced troop accommodation and the development of “Smart Military Stations” equipped with modern amenities and digital infrastructure.
Environmental sustainability also emerged as a central theme, with the initiative aligning closely with broader national priorities on climate action and sustainable development.

The conclave represents part of ongoing efforts to modernise India’s defence estate, particularly in border regions where infrastructure development has historically lagged behind strategic requirements.
