Royal Bengal Tiger Spotted Near Residential Areas in Koliabor

Local authorities have imposed emergency restrictions in parts of Koliabor following the confirmed sighting of a Royal Bengal Tiger that has wandered into residential areas on November 18. The tiger, which strayed from its habitat in the Kamakhya Reserve Forest, was spotted early Monday morning along the Kollong River between Debasatra Gaon and Miribheti Gaon, prompting immediate action from district officials.

The Additional District Magistrate of Kaliabor Co-District has issued an emergency prohibitory order. The order implements a strict night curfew and movement restrictions in the affected areas. Under the emergency measures, residents are prohibited from entering the designated areas between 4 PM and 9 AM. The order also bans activities that could potentially aggravate the situation, including creating loud noises or disrupting the work of forest officials and law enforcement personnel who are attempting to manage the situation.

During this period of restriction, only authorized personnel, such as police, forest officials, and government staff on active duty, are permitted to enter the restricted zones. The restrictions will remain in effect until further notice, and authorities emphasize that individuals ignoring these safety measures will be held personally responsible for any resulting incidents.
