Tezpur, June 5 : Along with the rest of the world, World Environment Day 2021 was observed here in Tezpur by several organisations. This year’s theme is Ecosystem Restoration. As part of the Celebration, Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur, Bhupesh Chandra Das took part in a programme held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tezpur and planted a sapling. The programme was organised jointly by KVK, Tezpur and Office of the District Agriculture Officer.
The Deputy Commissioner called for an integrated approach to all conservation efforts and asked the departments and officials concerned to work in close coordination to implement various schemes launched by the Government.
