On this fine sunny Sunday, Congress’s only winner from Ward No. 6 (out of 19) wards in Tezpur, Smt. Suman Das has joined BJP, which indeed shooked citizens in a befuddled state.
Suman Das, a young enthusiast,and also an old congress candidate who was praised for her energetic campaigns ahead of Municipal Polls 2022 is also the NSUI General Secy. for Tezpur Dist.
Hon’ble MP Sri Pallab Lochan Das took it to Twitter to express the information. Ward no. 6 holds Tezpur’s Bada Masjid, Dorjee Patty etc which lies in the main township area and her conversion from Congress to BJP has pinched many, especially the group of voters who helped her during the elections, not knowing of her intentions to shift from the Congress Party.
