Tezpur, April 25: The Muslim community gathered at Hindustani Masjid in Tezpur and observed a day of mourning during Friday prayers (Jummah) today, wearing black ribbons as a symbol of their grief and solidarity with the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Worshippers united in their condemnation of the violent incident, sending a powerful message that such acts of terrorism contradict the fundamental values of their faith. The congregation stood in silent solidarity, their black ribbons serving as visible reminders of their shared sorrow.
Violence has no place in any religion. The gathering served not only as a means to fulfill religious obligations but also as a united stand against terrorism in all its forms.

Special prayers (dua) were offered for those who lost their lives in the attack, asking for peace for the departed souls and strength for the grieving families left behind. The mosque, typically a place of spiritual communion, transformed into a space of collective mourning and reflection.
The congregation at Hindustani Masjid joins a growing number of religious communities across India speaking out against the recent violence in Pahalgam, demonstrating interfaith solidarity in the face of terrorism.
As they concluded their prayers, many worshippers expressed hope that their gesture would contribute to healing and peace in a time of national grief.
