State Minister, Ashok Singhal reviews Covid management & preparedness of Sonitpur District
Tezpur, May 13 : Continuing fight against the second wave of Covid-19, Assam Government has taken stringent measures to control the spread.
Under the direction of Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Cabinet Ministers are allotted districts to monitor the COVID-19 situation across the state. The allotted Ministers have to frequently report to the Chief Minister & the Minister of Health regarding the COVID-19 situation.
Minister for Urban Development, Ashok Singhal who is alloted responsibility for Sonitpur District today visited Tezpur and reviewed the COVID-19 management and preparedness with the District Administration of Sonitpur and other concerned officials.
Taking to Twitter he wrote, “As the COVID cases are increasing, so I directed all the team to work on war footing & take necessary actions to tackle this crisis”.
It may be noted that, he also visited Chowk Bazar, Tezpur to take stock of the damages caused due to tragic fire incident in the wee hours of 9th May. He met few shop owners and the committee members and interacted with them for further steps and assured all possible help. He was accompanied by District Magistrate, Shri Manavendra Pratap Singh.
