In a remarkable display of archery excellence, the SSB Central Archery Team from RTC SSB Salonibari, Tezpur dominated the 34th Senior State Archery Championship, securing an impressive haul of 13 medals. The prestigious tournament was held at the Khuman Lampak Sports Stadium in Imphal, Manipur, from October 12th to 22nd, 2024.
The five-member team from SSB demonstrated exceptional skill in both the Compound and Indian Round events, collecting seven gold, four silver, and two bronze medals.
In the Compound event category, Ramakanta Shanglakpam led the charge with two gold medals, while M. Bikram Singh secured two silver and one bronze medal. A. Joychandra Singh added to the team’s success with a gold medal performance.
The Indian event category saw equally impressive performances, with CH Bison Singh claiming two gold medals. Millennia Thockchom emerged as the most decorated archer of the team, securing two gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal across various categories.
